SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect anonymous Personal Information with Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site.

All images uploaded by you are your property. We do not own your uploaded images. By uploading and using this service, you are agreeing that we can use your photos on social platforms to share new locations with followers and promote the service, we will always look to credit you. If you have a private account, we won’t use your image, but it will be displayed on the website.

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

COOKIES AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Scenehunt stores the following information on users that register and login to the service via Twitter or Google; username, full name, email address and country. If you provide further information for your profile we will at most hold: bio, social links and website url. Please bear in mind if you are on a public / shared computer to logout of the service you logged in via ie Twitter or Google.

If you wish to download a copy of the information we hold in CSV format, please go to your profile and select “Download my data”. If you wish to remove your profile from the site, please go to your profile and select to delete your profile.

We use the feedback form data that we collect to: - Communicate with you. We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. You can view the information we hold on you by downloading it all in a CSV format, you can do this from your profile, ‘download my data’. You can also contact us through the contact information below. Access requests are not subject to a fee, we will freely provide you with details of the information we hold about you and will do so within 30 days of the request.

Fair use / Use of photographs, screenshots and video

Please upload your own photographs, when uploading a screenshot from a film/tv programme please ensure it is used as a reference for your images and location.

Scenehunt uses screenshots and videos under fair dealing as stated in the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Chapter III of Part I of the Act provides for a number of situations where copying or use of a work will not be deemed to infringe the copyright. Fair dealing with a work with acknowledgement for the purposes of quotation, criticism or review (s. 30); Photographs, graphic works, films or broadcasts of buildings and sculptures in a public place (s. 62) (see Freedom of panorama);

Any screenshots or videos uploaded or embedded into the Scenehunt website are quoted in order to review the location referenced in the film/tv show. We will where possible add copyright wording to acknowledge the original source of the material. The amount of the material quoted should be no more than is necessary for the purpose of the review of the location. The screenshots used on the site will in most cases already be available online and the videos are already hosted on Youtube. We ackowledge that due to the crowd sourcing nature of Scenehunt, mistakes may be made and we are happy to remove any disputed content or update the copyright information on the relevant page.
